This complex programme includes the replacement of the Trust's 1930s boilers, and provision of temporary steam boiler plant to ensure winter heating and hot water.
Jointly financed by London Energy Effiiciency Fund, and the first project under the Mayor of London's Energy Efficiency Fund, both through Amber Infrastructure.
The works will address critical backlog elements, including the obsolete boiler plant that placed serious winter risk on this acute hospital site.
The upgrades to the heat and steam networks will provide signifcant comfort improvements, and the lighting will also provide a visual improvement for staff, patients and visitors.
“Breathe was delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Trust on their extensive programme of works to upgrade and improve the energy infrastructure and help address the critical backlog at St Helier Hospital”
