Reflecting on 2021

With 2021 drawing to a close, we’re reflecting on a whirlwind year for everyone – especially Breathe.

Breathe has grown so much over 2021, both in terms of new projects and employees. Some of us have been working from home, some entirely on site, and some have been hybrid working.  We’ve met our project deadlines and keeping our people safe has remained our highest priority. Despite COVID-related delays including industry-wide shortages, we’ve completed an enormous amount of work–on site and behind the scenes.

Of the last year, Gary has said; “I don’t think any of us ever envisaged how our world would change so quickly – all I can say is it’s a credit to each and every one of our colleagues as to how resilient they have been, how dedicated they have been to keeping moving the business forward no matter how adverse the circumstances. Team spirit that is at the core of Breathe.”

We’re incredibly proud of the work we do at Breathe.  We’re currently saving of over 12,000 tonnes of CO2e per year for our customers – and that number grows as more projects complete.

We’ve continued to deliver for public sector organisations and have recently secured a contract to help Long Clawson Dairy decarbonise their factory in Leicestershire.

Our founder and Managing Director Gary Parke will be starting a new adventure as Group Business Development Director with parent company, Imtech, in January 2022. We wish him all the best as Jonathan Kershaw, currently Business Delivery Director, becomes Managing Director of Breathe on 1st January 2022.

In his final email to Breathe colleagues, Gary said; “It’s been a privilege and an honour to work with all of our people, clients and partners and I am confident I leave you in very capable hands with Jon and the senior management team.”

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Breathe!
